When opendmarc is looking at headers, what exactly is it looking for to determine it's next course of action?

does it only need to see:

dkim=
spf=

or does it rely on other information as well and surrounding the pertinent results, such as:

Authentication-Results: example.com;              
dkim=pass reason="good signature"

etc....

?
