Hello,

my opendmarc runs fine since october 2012 (version 1.0.0)

On Jan 10 09:49:05 I updated to 1.0.1. The next mails passed my mta without problems.

But then, Jan 10 13:05:13, a mail from AMaitland at Commerco.Com arrived via dmarc-discuss mailinglist.
That mail lets my opendmarc looping and eat up any available cpu time.

I killed opendmarc and the MTA worked fine again. Again some mail passed an some times later
opendmarc eat up all cpu. I did a rollback to opendmarc 1.0.0.

But also that version looped, when this specific mail arrived here.
Some traces later I found, that opendmarc fire tons of dns queries for 'v=spf1 redirect._spf.Commerco.Com'

query: 2001:a60:f0b4:e503:c47e:4dff:fed8:e15f v?spf1?redirect?_spf.Commerco.Com. TXT IN

that's crasy: the string is an dns *answer*. Why do I see the string as dns *query* ?

I attached strace to the running process: https://andreasschulze.de/tmp/opendmarc-1.0.0.strace

Now I disabled opendmarc here...
The message from AMaitland at Commerco.Com was delivered now. It looks very normal. Nothing unusual...

Any ideas?

Andreas
