Some feedback I got pointed out that MUAs have been supporting S/MIME and PGP for a long time now, though those modules are largely unused. So the obvious question, then, is why do we need a new mechanism?<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><br>I’m in support of DOSETA and MIMEAUTH (and DKIM and its other expected offshoots), but I imagine this question will come up in future working groups and we’ll need a solid answer.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>My own first thought is that it’s simply less intrusive in terms of having to reformat an existing object into a multipart object, but I don’t know if people will find that to be a good argument or not.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>-MSK<o:p></o:p></p></div></body></html>
